THE HOST
Megan Hockin-Bennett
My name is Megan and for the past 10 years I have been working as a film maker, with OrcaLab, telling stories about the natural world and in particular: stories about whales. I found on so many occasions whilst discussing different issues, that all these incredible people around me, doing exceptional things, were not comfortable calling themselves conservationists.
I'm here to call you all out and to instigate informal chats with individuals from all backgrounds about what the term really means to them. Delving into what shaped their thoughts and how they each navigate the ideas of true conservation in what can sometimes feel like a constantly changing and hopeless future.
My hope is to nourish and grow conscious conversations to ultimately help save the planet. Incremental change leading to monumental change and if listening to this inspires just one person to get involved in something they really care about, then i’ll be happy.
